about

Sweet Legacy

The sweetness of our legacy is in cherished moments of life lessons in the kitchen. This is the place we cook, eat, and create with family and friends. Try our catering, cooking classes or order a beignet station or mobile café for your next event. From Modern Comfort Food to Festival Favorites to Louisiana Snoballs, we have menus for all ages. Our goal is to provide a meal while making great memories.

about

Tierra Alexander

Tierra Alexander founded Sweet Legacy LLC out of a desire to bring her family recipes and cooking experiences to others. She developed Sweet Legacy as a social enterprise for families to create memories, youth to build character and develop life skills, and as a vehicle to underwrite the cost of her mission to provide interventions for youth in foster, adoptive and blended families. Through festivals, cooking classes and catering special events, Sweet Legacy has been on a mission since 2016. The company was voted Best of Beignet Fest 2020 earning 1st and 2nd Place for savory dishes. Sweet Legacy is also a popular vendor at The National Fried Chicken Fest. Tierra has always had a passion for creating recipes and making memories in the kitchen. She learned to bake at age 6 and progressed with the help of her grandmother. Her grandfather was also a pastry chef, and her family is filled with great cooks. Tierra Alexander holds a Master of Social Work degree and is presently a Doctoral Candidate at LSU School of School of Social Work with research and interventions focused on Food and Family Connection.
